The Senior Men’s League will be an 18-hole Men’s golf league using handicaps on Tuesday Mornings barring previously scheduled outings. Alternate league days will be provided.
This league is open to all Male Golfers 50 or older.
All participants are required to have a current USGA or CDGA handicap to be eligible for net prizes. If the league member does not have an active handicap at Orchard Valley, proof must be provided of a current valid handicap.
Players without a handicap are welcome to play for contest prizes only (closest to pin and long putt prizes).
Players with a handicap index of 15.0 and below will compete from the Blue tee markers, and players with a handicap index of 15.1 and above will compete from the White tee markers.
The League will have weekly sign-up. Please sign in each Tuesday for the following week. Call or contact the golf shop no later than Saturday to sign-in for the following Tuesday. If you fail to call or notify the golf shop, you will be put on a waiting list until a time becomes available.
If you cannot make a particular week and do not sign up for that week, you will not be required to play.
ALL USGA RULES APPLY (no gimmies), LOCAL DROP AREAS ARE TO BE USED.
Dates & Times
A sign up sheet will be available April 16th to sign up for the first day of play - May 1st.
The first play day will be Tuesday, May 1st and league play will end September 18th.
Tee Times will generally begin at 7am and run through approximately 10am, starting times are subject to amount of participants and seasonal time changes.
As a season ending event, a Scramble and pig roast will be held on Monday, September 24th. Sign up for this event will be open to league members first and then to the general public a week later. Cost, time, and other details TBD.
League Play is subject to blackout days due to previously scheduled golf outings.
Fees
The daily fee is $32 per player. This includes your greens fee and cart. Carts are mandatory for this league.
There is a mandatory $7 fee for the prize fund each day.
Guests without a handicap are welcome to play for a fee of $39 and will be eligible for non handicapped contests only.
Weekly Events & Prizes
Payouts each week depend on the number of participants. Prizes in the form of gift cards are given to the weekly winners.
Prize cards are redeemable in the Golf Shop or the Orchard Valley Restaurant.
